Gantry Crane

As part of the capstone project for my Batchelor's degree I designed a gantry crane system. My capstone team needed a method to move our lab-scale wave energy converter in and out of the laboratory wave tank. The final solution was an A-frame style gantry crane with electric winch and mechanical position controls. The system is described in an appendix to the capstone report.

This project was completed mainly in the Spring and Summer of 2020. It was done in with support from  Dr. Brian Polagye and others at the Pacific Marine Energy Center at the University of Washington.
